New Discounts for TriFury Members!

posted Feb 7, 2017, 4:56 PM by Cindy Regnante

We are very pleased to announce that we have set up a number of discounts for current TriFury members. Not only do we get discounts from a list of sponsors and club supporters, now thanks to the support of the various race directors, a number of our selected races are offering discounts on their entry fees to club members. These discounts can quickly add up to more than the cost of TriFury membership.  Once you renew for 2017 you will receive an email confirmation that will include the actual discount codes.

2016 TriFury Awards & Banquet Info

posted Oct 6, 2016, 2:44 PM by Cindy Regnante

Hi TriFury,

It is that time of year again when we are getting ready for the 2016 TriFury Awards Banquet on November 13th, at the Atkinson Country Club, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.** See below for Ticket information. We need your help in selecting those members who are worthy of receiving an award, in a club so large as TriFury, it would be easy to miss a member who should be recognized. See below the different categories, and nominate other members, including yourself (I am the only person, who will see your e-mail), there can be multiple nominees and winners for each category. The TriFury board of directors will make the final choices. Please send your nominations to me at do not reply to all.

posted Jul 1, 2016, 6:08 AM by Cindy Regnante

Calling all TriFury kids!  It’s time for the Kids Try the Tri.  Join us next Wednesday 7/6 for a 6 p.m. start.
Race details:
50 yard swim, 1.2 mile bike, and a .6 mile run.
The swim will be to the first buoy and back, the bike course will be 2 loops around the neighborhood, and the run will be a single loop.
Bike and Run:
Children may use noodles or life jackets during the swim.  We will have adults and lifeguards in the water.   For safety reasons, bikes must be 2 wheels only (no training wheels).
The fee is $5 for children with family memberships and $10 for children of members with individual memberships.  Non-affiliated children may not participate.

We encourage parents to help out around the bike/run course during the race and to participate in the adult race right after.
Our regular weekly Try the Tri will be immediately following the kids tri.

2016 Proposed Selected Races:

posted Dec 10, 2015, 10:41 AM by Randy Leach

It is that time of the year where the Trifury membership begins the selections process for the 2016 Trifury Selected Race Calendar. As in year's past, races that are well attended (more than a dozen participants) and continue to receive membership positive feedback are retained by the Trifury Board.  Races that are not as well attended, or produce negative feedback are reviewed, reconsidered, and at time replaced as per direction of the Trifury Board.   Below is the initial list of races that will be included on the 2016 Selected Race calendar. These races have met the criteria of a dozen or more participants, or are races that were added to the calendar for a specific purpose (Escape The Cape).  Please note that any Ironman, USAT National or World Championship race will continue to be included in the schedule due to the special nature of those races.

You will notice that several races from last year are not currently included on the schedule.  This is due to the fact that the race did not meet the participant minimum to automatically be included in the upcoming year. If there is any existing race that you feel should be included/excluded, or any new race, or race that had previously appeared on the Selected Race calendar, that you feel should be considered, please send me ( an email and let me know of the race, the date that it occurs, and why you believe it should be included.  The Trifury Board will next meet on January 4th to consider any races that have been suggested, and whatever races that are added at that time will be also added to the list and communicated to the membership in a timely manner.
