To all,
The weather is looking great this weekend, and it a great time to shed some "racing rust" by showing up to Spring Fling this weekend, put on by Double C Racing. There is a Triathlon and Duathlon option. The race starts/finishes at UMASS Lowell campus this year http://www.doublecracing.com/Spring_Fling_Info__Reg.html Also, for those not racing, this is also a great chance to score some volunteer points.

Annoucing we now have a great 54 mile course for Saturday mornings. It turns off of the 35 mile course at about 17 miles off of Highland Street onto Goodhue and makes it way first out to Crane Beach and then out to Great Neck the back through Ipswich Center to rejoin the 35 mile course at about 38 miles. Incredibly scenic views of the Ipswich coastline and a good little hill or two for good measure, but reasonably flat. To print the map, use the attached file. Dave |

The countdown is almost done. 5 days until our first group ride on Saturady April 6th, 2013. Saturday Morning Group Ride Saturday morning rides begin from the Hermann Youth Center Parking Lot at 33 Johnson St in North Andover Mass. These rides are for all levels of riders from 14 miles per hour to 22 miles per hour average. TriFury, This year we plan to group up into avearge pace groups of 21+ MPH, 19-20MPH, 17-18MPH, 15-16MPH and 13 - 14 MPH and each group will "regroup" individually at the church in Topsfield Center at 9.6 miles, and again at the Dunkin Donuts at Rte 1 at 23 miles (bathrooms available). We also plan to have some interesting variations this year occasionally, and will change it up a few times to seek out a few different courses and destinationsto be announced. TriFury Rides start from 33 JOHNSON ST, NORTH ANDOVER, MA We roll pretty much on time, so be there early enough to pump up the tires and chit chat if you want before we start. For the first 3 weeks we will roll at 9AM, then beginning on 4/27 we will move the start time to 7:30AM. It will be cool this Saturday, around 45 degrees I expect, and riding always makes it feel about 10 to 15 degrees colder than it really is so dress in layers. Please make wear a brightly colored shirt and jacket. Motorists are not expecting bikes out there this time of year. Lets not have anyone taking the lead in the "TriFury Crash Award" this week, in fact lets try to have no one worthy to give it to at all this year? That would be nice. 35 mile course TriFury 35 Mile Bike Course 2012 - N. Andover, Boxford, Topsfield, Hamilton & Ipswich in North Andover, MA | Bike Map | 34.71 mi route in North Andover, MA - The full course for the Saturday Morning TriFury bike ride TriFury 20 Mile Topsfield Ride 2012 - North Andover, Boxford, Topsfield in North Andover, MA | Bike Map | 19.84 mi route in North Andover, MA - This 20 mile course turns off the 35 mile course at 9 miles onto Rte 97 and in 1/2 mile rejoins the 35 mile course cutting off 15 miles of the longer route and the toughest two 2 hills.. We also have an incredibly pituresque 50 mile course with some nice rolling hills that is an extension of the 35 mile out to Crane Beach and Long Neck in Ipswich that we'll start doing in early May. Let me know if you have any questions, Dave Tyler

Hi Everyone, Looks like we are going to finally have some decent weather this week. The first Trifury hosted run is taking place on Sunday April 7 from the Irish Cottage in Methuen. We will have a 5mi. course set up by about 8am. People who would like to do more than 5mi can start as early as they want, I know that Paul and Randy are planning on 12mi, you can do the 5mi and start around 9am. What the plan is is to have everyone back at the Irish Cottage by 10 to have breakfast together.
The cost for the brunch buffet for Trifury members is $8. which you can pay to me or Paul at some point during the am. Trifury will pick up the balance of the brunch + tax and tip.
I do need a RSVP.
Thanks,
Claire |
